Just because the weather is starting to cool down doesn’t mean there’s a shortage of fun things to do in Oakville. In fact, you’ll find tons of great events to attend both in person or virtually. To make it even easier, we’ve rounded up a few of our favourite Oakville events to look forward to this fall.

Girls Nite Out

Girls Nite Out is an all-funny, all-female troupe featuring stand-up comedy and improv from some of Canada’s top performers. Led by the fearless Elvira Kurt, individually, they’ve won Canadian Screen & Comedy Awards and been featured on NBC, CBC, & The Comedy Network (to name a few). Collectively they’ve been wowing ’em around the country with their unique blend of sassiness and lady love. Catch this performance on September 18th at The Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts by live stream or in person.

Luca “lazylegz” Patuelli

This fall, another great event to look forward to at The Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts is Luca “lazylegz” Patuelli. This performance, taking place by live stream or in-person on October 21st, is sure to inspire and entertain. Luca “Lazylegz” Patuelli was born with Arthrogryposis, a neuromuscular disorder affecting the bones and joints of the body. Despite facing physical challenges, Luca learned about the power of adapting positively to any situation at an early age. At 15 years old, Luca was introduced to breakdancing. Immediately, he was attracted to the music, culture, and, challenging movements. He slowly began creating a unique style that used his upper body strength. By using his crutches as extensions of his arms, Bboy Lazylegz was born!

Discover your World

The Oakville Public Library, in partnership with Community Living Oakville, invites you to join them each month for a fun new initiative! On Tuesday, October 12th, learn all about Mythology during an interactive one-hour virtual event. You will participate in fun activities, including information sharing, trivia, crafts, and games!

Tree Walk

Join Oakvillegreen on October 14th for a tree walk in the beautiful Lakeside area. This fantastic event meets at Central Library’s Navy Street Entrance to explore some of the majestic heritage trees in the downtown historic district and along Lake Ontario. It takes decades for some trees to reach maturity but once established, large mature trees provide numerous benefits to humans and wildlife and improve the livability in urban environments. There is a lot you can learn about and from trees. This event aims to help people be inspired to take responsibility for our invaluable urban forest!

Oakville has a host of activities that are fun for everyone! You can turn this fall into one that you will never forget! Whether you catch a live show, join a virtual event, or get to learn more about the nature that surrounds you, Oakville has many events that are sure to please your whole family!
